Inspired by Dolly not an actual Dolly photo.
✨ ROCKSTAR DOLLY: RHINESTONE IN THE SKY ✨
My very first Dolly chair since her passing is finally finished… and I knew this one had to be special.
I’ve created Dolly pieces before, but for this one, I wanted to push myself a little further. I wanted it to feel like a true tribute to a woman who proved there is absolutely no such thing as too much sparkle, too much personality, or too much YOU. 💖
This is Rockstar Dolly: Rhinestone in the Sky — a completely one-of-a-kind Rockstar Glam House creation.
The frame is finished in black glitter, and almost every bit of upholstery you see was created from my own custom fabric designs specifically for this chair. The seat is a fabulous black faux fur woven with glitter strands because obviously Dolly wasn’t getting an ordinary seat. ✨
I layered her in lace, crystals, fringe and rhinestone details, including star rhinestones on the arm fronts and additional sparkle on the backside.
And then there’s the guitar…
Every one of those rhinestones was added individually by hand, and that detail alone took me longer than anything else on this chair. Was it slightly insane? Probably. 😂 Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY.
I wanted this first chair after losing Dolly to feel bigger, bolder and more meaningful than the ones I had created before.
A little country.
A whole lot of glam.
And unmistakably Rockstar Dolly. 💎🎸💖
